Tuck Ryan Might Sound Like A Farmer But He’s Actually a Baller of a Musician

Farmer Tuck. It fits doesn’t it?

But wouldn’t you know, dude’s smooth as a goose.

Not sure that’s a saying, but it is now.

The white Barry White. The music doesn’t resemble Barry’s, but the smooth talkin’ grooves in the tunes, “2AM” and “Into The Deep” definitely do. Those two songs were the singles leading up to the release of the EP, Fade Away.

Take some of the lyrics from “Into The Deep” into consideration if you’re not buying into these outlandish Barry White claims.

When We’re Ballin Out

Sticky Thoughts Spinnin ‘Round My Head

Up In Your Bed Just Hollerin’ Out

I never had this kind of love

Make you breakfast

Make you sprung

Walk the city in the rain

FARMER TUCK, YOU SILVER-TONGUED DOG, YOU.

Okay, enough with the farmer talk.

The album art for Fade Away matches the music. It’s soft and uplifting, but there’s some interesting color to it all. Like the way “Supply” rides out with an unexpected spoken word piece after a soft acoustic guitar and falsetto melody takes you through the first couple minutes.

The EP in its entirety is an easy listen—great for coffee in the morning or a nightcap in the evening. It’s not gym music, but “Shine” would be a good addition to any running/gym playlist. It’s the most upbeat of the bunch and probably my favorite song.

It’s a tight six tracks, concluding with the title track Fade Away featuring two of Tuck’s top collaborators in AJAY & Jonill.

I almost forgot to mention he’s a hell of a pianist and a great live act to catch.
