Songs That Should Be On The Radio Vol. 7 — Philly Music Scene
Let’s get into our latest edition of Radio Songs — a proper mix of hits.
\ \ Enjoy! / /
Sadie Gust
“MAMA KNOWS”
Carried by the scintillating intonation of Ms. Gusts’s voice, “Mama Knows” is a lovely comfort tune that anyone can relate to… aren’t we all just trying to make our mamma proud? The reprise that kicks in at 2:30… chef’s kiss.
CADRE NOIR
“SCIENTIFIC”
Brockhampton on chamomile tea, and I mean that in an absolutely wonderful way. I burned through Cadre Noir’s whole catalog upon discovering them. Awesome band. Clean, intriguing sound.
These guys aren’t getting enough spin.
Uncle T
“FOUND YOU”
Boy, do I love a feel-good, hopeless romantic tune! Uncle T crushes this one and the beach aesthetic is just the right timing for this edition of Radio Songs. Wrap the Summer the right way with this spacey pop tune and a sunset sway with your loved one (dance ‘em if you got ‘em).
GREG MENDEZ
“MARIA”
Mendez has built a fanbase that transcends the local scene and is currently on tour in Canada and the U.S., including some shows that are already sold out! Soft indie rock builds with explosive capabilities. Easy to listen to and enjoy.
KAuse
“AKIRA ft. Kagiso”
Kause continues to impress. Album after album, EP after EP, single after single, MUSIC VIDEO AFTER MUSIC VIDEO. He’s got it on lock. The song is totally unique from start to finish and every few stanzas the tempo and flow is switching up on you.
He just released his new album Whats a Crown to the Clouds? which is as good as expected.
Skip Winters
“THEN AGAIN”
You’ve got a cold soul if you don’t feel this one. Money can come and go and we’ll be fine. I needed to hear that in this economy, Skip. Thank you. It’s a nice reminder that life goes on… there’s this problem, this problem, and that problem… THEN AGAIN… we’ve got all this, we’ll be alright. Also, the guitar at 2 minutes went up and down every vertebrae of mine.
Kingsley Ibeneche
“SO KIND”
Ibeneche brings his choreography and artistic capability to the forefront with this beautiful video, but with or without the awesome video, the song will leave you humming and bobbing your head well after its over. Enjoy!
